[Men's Cross Country] Cross Country runs well at WingatePublished by
Wingate, NC- The St. Andrews University cross country teams ran well at the Wingate Bulldog Stampede at Wingate University on Saturday. The men's team ended up coming in 4th place out of 9, by far their best finish of the year as they were led by Danzel Jefferson's 11th place overall finish (out of 67 runners) as he ran a 29:05 in the 8K race (4.97 miles). Next for the Knights was freshman Ryan Hughart who came in 23rd with a time of 30:04 followed by fellow freshman Justin Brown who came in 26th at 30:25. Junior Tyler Beaver was next in 31st with a time of 30:47 while sophomore Cannon Heath finished up the Knights scoring in 35th place in 31:01. Other Knights to finish were freshman Michael Hare who came in 50th with a time of 33:37. UNC-Pembroke won the event with 23 points by having 3 of the top 5 placers followed by Pfeiffer and Wingate in 2nd and third and the Knights in 4th with 124 points.
