Indoor Track & Field: Kalsey Shines at Mount Union InvitePublished by
ALLIANCE, Ohio - Pole vaulters of the Westminster College men's and women's indoor track & field teams competed at the Jim Wuske Invitational hosted by the University of Mount Union on Saturday. Titan All-American junior Marissa Kalsey (Waynesburg, PA / Waynesburg) won the pole vault out of 18 total vaulters, posting a season-best mark of 12 feet, six inches (3.81 meters). Westminster All-American sophomore Cassidy Shepherd (Greensburg, PA / Salem) placed second with the same mark, creating a new personal-best for indoor. Kalsey placed first because of the tiebreaker. First-year Hailey Hall (Grove City, PA / Grove City Area) and senior Brittany Majors (Wampum, PA / Ellwood City) both placed in the top-10. Hall placed fifth with a mark of 10 feet, 6.25 inches (3.21 meters), while Majors placed eighth with a season-best mark of 10 feet, 0.5 inch (3.06 meters). Junior Andrew Brannen (Pittsburgh, PA / Peters Township) placed 10th out of 25 vaulters with a mark of 13 feet, 1.75 inches (4.01 meters). Westminster will next compete at Baldwin Wallace College next Friday. About Westminster College...
