[Women's Outdoor Track & Field] Falcons to Sign Local StandoutPublished by
Friends is proud to announce the impending signing of Sydney Roy, a female distance runner from Maize High School (Maize, KS) who will compete in spring 2014 in track & field and join the cross country team for the fall 2014 season. She will sign November 13th. Roy has been an All-League and All-Region selection all three years of high school. She placed 22nd at the 6A cross country meets in both her sophomore and junior years. At state track, Roy was a member of the 6th place 4X800 relay team her freshman year, and placed 11th in the 3200m race as a junior. Roy's Personal Bests: Roy is the daughter of Bill & Gretchen Roy, and has twin sister, Shea. She will graduate from Maize High in December and enroll at Friends for the Spring 2014 semester.
