Bishop Ford Central Catholic High School To ClosePublished by
Bishop Ford Central Catholic High School To Close NBC New York reported yesterday that Bishop Ford Central Catholic High School in Brooklyn will be closing at the end of the academic year. For many years, Bishop Ford had been a standout track and field team. Coached by Lou Vazquez, Bishop Ford achieved many accolades in track and cross country, including qualifying an athlete for the Foot Locker Cross Country Championships in three consecutive years. At Madison Square Garden, the school had run a very fast 7:52 for the 4x800m relay. "I know that this is very upsetting and sad news for you and for your children," wrote Principal Thomas P. Arria Jr. in a letter to parents. "It is no less sad for the faculty and scores of alumni who have remained loyal and dedicated to the mission of Bishop Ford." NBC has more details on the Bishop Ford Central Catholic High School closing, which can be found here. More news |
