THE MIND-BODY ENDURANCE SUMMIT
(for Coaches AND Athletes!)

ROBERT MALOOF CENTER, BARTON PERFORMANCE CENTER by ALTIS
SOUTH LAKE TAHOE

This Uniquely Formatted Program features educational, training and body recovery opportunities for Individual Coaches and for Coaches who bring their team athletes to beautiful South Lake Tahoe for late summer altitude training (6,200’). 

The Barton Performance Center by ALTIS offers State of the Art Training/Recovery/Rehab equipment including Alter G, Therapy Pools, Keiser Weight Equipment, Reverse Current Hydro Pools and much more! In addition to the numerous trails around South Lake Tahoe there is a Public All-Weather Track available for training less than 2 miles from the Center. 

Speakers will include Peanut and Tena Harms of El Dorado HS, Placerville, CA, the National Federation of High Schools (NFHS) 2018 California Boys and Girls Cross Country Coaches of the Year; Peter Thompson, an Internationally renowned endurance Coach; Dave Frank of Central Catholic HS, Portland, OR and USTFCCCA 2018 Boys Cross Country Coach of the Year, Oregon and ALTIS staff including, Ryan Carr - Performance and Wellness Coordinator and Nick Ward - Strength & Power Coach. Peter and Dave will also be offering a variety of optional practical running activities for athletes, with coaches as active observers, at the five scheduled track sessions.

TUESDAY 16 JULY
5:30-6:30 pm Orientation, Tour of Barton Performance Center by ALTIS & Pizza Party
6:45-8:15 pm Mind Body Overview - Peanut and Tena Harms, Dave Frank, Peter Thompson

WEDNESDAY 17 JULY & THURSDAY 18 JULY
08:00- 09:30 am Practical Session at the Track
10:00-11:00 am Optional Post Run/Training & Recovery at Barton Center for Orthopedics and Wellness, includes Instructor-Led Self-Massage, Hot & Cold Hydrotherapy, Normatech, GameReady, Kinetic chain stability
11:00-12:00 Presentation for Coaches and Athletes (17) Dave Frank - Choosing Greatness (18) Peter Thompson - Priming for Performance and Recovery
2:00-3:00 pm Presentation for Coaches and Athletes (17) Nick Ward - Strength Training & Endurance Performance (18) Ryan Carr - Mental Training / Relaxation Exercise
3:30-5:00 pm Practical Session at the Track
5:00-6:00 pm Post Run/Training & Recovery for athletes (options as for 10:00am)
5:00-6:00 pm Presentation for Coaches only (17) Peanut Harms - The War for H.S. Talent (18)DF and PT - A Collection of Coaching Tips

FRIDAY 19 JULY
08:00- 10:00 am Practical Session at the Track
10:30-11:30 am Post Run/Training & Recovery at Barton Center (options as for 10:00am on 17 and 18 July)
11:30-12:15 am Final Presentation for Coaches and Athletes and Q/A - Peanut and Tena Harms, Peter Thompson
12:30-1:00 pm Wrap up and farewells

COST
Individual Coaches $100 early bird (by June 7) $130 after June 7 (Coaches may bring athletes but may attend individually)
Athletes with Teams $100 early bird (by June 7) $130 after June 7  (Athletes w/Coach)
