For throwers in the New York area, there will be some great clinics coming up on June 19th and June 25th in Westpoint, New York. The all day clinics will feature discus coaching by Knut Hjeltnes, a three-time Olympian and current throws coach at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. Hammer throw instruction will be by Roman Feldman and Paddy McGrath. Feldman served as an assistant coach to Anatoli Bondarchuk in the Soviet Union and also was a 75 meter hammer thrower himself. McGrath, a pupil of Feldman, is a former Olympian for Ireland and also the current coach of Alec Faldermeyer and other top youth throwers.
