Waverly Woolever, who recently completed her freshman year at Hamilton Heights High in Indiana, won the girls 15-16 division high jump title with a second-attempt clearance at 5-5 (1.65m) at the USATF National Junior Olympic Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. Woolever and Lilly Stebbins both cleared 5-5 on their second attempts, but Woolever made 5-3 (1.60m) on her first opportunity in comparison to Stebbins needing three tries to extend the competition.
