North Salem's Nelida Dalgas finished second in the Class 6A girls race on Saturday at Lane Community College, running 17:24.55. 

Sheldon's Malachi Schoenherr, the 2024 state champion, finished second in the Class 6A boys race on Saturday at the Oregon state cross country championships in a time of 15:08.1. 

Lincoln duo Peter James and Malcolm Dimoff finished sixth and seventh and helped their team finish second on Saturday at the Oregon state cross country championships at Lane Community College. James finished in 15:31.84 and Dimoff ran 15:32.03.
