The documentary film Volcanic Sprint (www.volcanicsprint.com) showcases one of the most extreme—and little known—mountain races in the world.

Once runners reach the summit, the most difficult part of the race begins as runners must descend down loose, jagged volcanic stones—and the winners complete the race in less than five hours!

In the film, you’ll meet inspirational heroes like Sarah Etonge, a 37-year old mother of seven who has won the race five times—and relies on her winnings from the race to support her children. Or Max Mwambo, a 17-year old student struggling to live up to the legacy of his father John, the first race champion.
