The time almost for my third 150 miler but this year as been a difficult training because a move back home to Indiana and 65 hour work weeks. I was able to get some good training the last two weeks but the weather in the Midwest has been crappie for the two months. When all is said and done I will be at the start line on April 10th at noon to begin the race.

The move back to Indiana was a tough one and the weather has sent my training into the toliet. But I am finally getting back on track and my last two weeks were pretty good. My 150 miler is on April 10th and I am looking to take overall title.

It is with great sadness my wife and I have decided to move back home to Indiana. After 10 job rejections and 8 different part-time jobs in 2 1/2 years it is time to regroup and refocus. I will miss Colorado deeply but our families will be able to be part of your son life. Do not worry I will be back to put on my 10k Trail Run in May 2009.

My son is two weeks old today. He is starting to get bigger and is more aware of his surroundings.

Noah Alexander Stofko was born on Monday, Oct 13th at 11:47 pm. He was 7 lb 1 oz and 18.5 inches long. 

This time of year I have completed my big races and look forward to recovery. It is a hard time to motivate myself to get out and run without any goals to achieve. I also seem to have a injury pop up after I return to running after a big race. Right now I am dealing with my achilles tendonitis that hurts. But here our my top 3 achievements of 2008:

• Developed and race directed my first trail race in Colorado
• Ran the Mount Evans Ascent and climb to over 14,000 feet
• Set a PR at Leadville 100 mile with 21:54 and was 11th overall

Well 2009 will be soon here and my wife will be giving birth to our first child in October. 2009 will be interesting and exciting one!

My Intro to Ultra Running Weekend in Estes Park scheduled for this weekend will be rescheduled for April-May 2009. We thought a different date would allow more people to come. I will let you the date ASAP.
