My name is Patrick, I love to run - I guess thats pretty typical for someone here on runner's space. But anyways, I recently graduated from LSU where I ran a 4:02 for the mile. After a short stay in graduate school I decided to take a break and try one last stab at running... You can go back to graduate school at any time... but your opportunities as a competetive runner will only last for so long. With that in mind a couple of friends and I are moving to Portland, Oregon in late July to give it one last go-round. Our thoughts are: if you want to be fast you have to surround yourself with fast people and of course a fitness oriented environment/city. I hear Portland is one of the best ... not sure if we will ever come back when we go.

Anyways I presently work in a running store in Mandeville, Louisiana saving up money for the big move in July...wish us luck!
