There is no way to delete an account. The best you can do is remove content attached to your profile and go to profile layout and drag everything off of your profile page so that there is nothing left except your name at the top.

I get the error "you do not have permission to download this file" even though I uploaded it. But I'm not clear if downloading it is even the right thing. There is not option to "add to group" or something of that sort. Here's the link. All 3 files are mine but I'm stumped.
When you uploaded the files, did you go through your profile to upload them? If you did, there is an edit files button you need to use on your group page and add them from there.
