High school sweethearts Art and Linda Kranick were married in 1971 and have led the cross country and track and field programs at Saratoga Springs High School since 1985.

Retired from their positions as science teachers, Art and Linda are completely dedicated to helping athlete progress, coaching through the Saratoga Springs athletics program, as well as their year-round, all ages Kinetic XC Running Club.

Together, they’ve coached over 80 All-Americans in track and field and over 100 All-Americans in Cross Country. They’ve won over 75 Sectional titles in cross country, indoor and outdoor track and field. Their boys have a cross country national championship title under their belt from 2005. Their girls have claimed multiple national championship titles.

The Kranicks claim there are no secrets to the success their teams have seen over the years; just work hard, with intense practice sessions often followed by snacks like watermelon or popsicles.

Because of their tireless dedication to track and field and cross country, Art and Linda Kranick, along with the six coaches listed below will be inducted into the Armory Coaches Hall of Fame during the AT&T Hall of Fame Invitational on December 19.

Joe Biddy Suffern (NY)

Andy Capellan New Rochelle (NY)

Shaun Dietz Medgar Evers (NY)

Steve Borbet Bay Shore (NY)

Mike Glynn Ridgewood (NJ)

Nicola Martial Medgar Evers (NY)

We will release bio information on each of the inductees during the weeks leading up to the AT&T Hall of Fame Invitational

The AT&T Hall of Fame Invitational is expected to draw over 3,000 competitors from high schools across the Northeast. Athletes will compete in varsity, frosh/soph, small and large school divisions. Schools with less than 525 boys or girls in grades 9-11 will compete in the small schools division. Each athlete will be allowed to compete in three events and there will be no limit on the number of team entries per event.

The Winner of the AT&T Hall of Fame Invitational boys and girls miles will receive an invitation to the NYRR Millrose Games High School mile if they have broken 4:20/5:00 at some point in their career as of 1/24/16. Otherwise those invitations become “at large” bids.

The meet will also feature the unveiling of a brand new Armory Coaches Hall of Fame display and launch of our new field event results displays system, which consists of double-sided, live result scoreboards at each field event.

Meet entry is available on the AT&T Hall of Fame Invitational meet page
