1 (1). Drew Hunter, senior, Loudoun Valley (Virginia): Ran 15:26.1 at the Loudoun County Public School Championships for an easy win on Sept. 30. His time was 21 seconds faster than last year. Missed a chance to defend his title at Great American when the meet was canceled.

2 (2). Austin Tamagno, senior, Brea Olinda (California): Opened the season with two meets last week, including a 14:38.4 3-mile at the Century Conference Preview in Irvine.  

3 (3). Carter Blunt, senior, Frisco Independence (Texas): Zero races in September have allowed Blunt time to make college visits. His next race is Oct. 15.

4 (4). Ben Veatch, senior, Carmel (Indiana): Heading into Indiana's state tournament after just two race apppearances.

5 (6). Garek Bielaczyc, senior, East (Utah): He won the Roy Griak Invite in Minnesota and then ran 14:20.2 for three miles at the Cedar City Invite in Utah.

6 (13). Phillip Rocha, senior, Arcadia (California): He blitzed Stanford with a very strong 14:32.50 for 5K on a golf course.

7 (5). Andrew Jordan, senior, Watkins Memorial (Ohio): In contrast to others in the top 10, he has six races under his belt -- all wins.

8 (7). Casey Clinger, junior, American Fork (Utah): The Region IV meet is Friday.

9 (8). Jon Davis, senior, Oakwood (Illinois): Won the Palatine Invitational.

10 (NR). Noah Affolder, junior, Carthage (New York): Course records at Monroe Woodbury and McQuaid (14:14.9 for 3 miles) show that he has taken a big step up.

 11 (10). Paul Roberts, senior, Lyons (Colorado): Broke the course record at Rim Rock Farm in Kansas.

12 (11). Aidan Tooker, senior, Saratoga Springs (New York): He had a big win and course record at Queensbury but didn't get to run at Great American.

13 (9). Blaise Ferro, senior, CBA (New Jersey): The Manhattan Invitational looms large for Ferro and CBA.

14 (14). Jake Brophy, senior, Central Bucks East (Pennsylvania): Won the PIAA Foundation meet by 16 seconds.

15 (16). David Principe Jr, junior, La Salle (Rhode Island): Very impressive September included fastest time at Bowdoin Park Classic.

16 (17). Ben Petrella, senior, Liverpool (New York): Second-fastest at the McQuaid Invitational.

17 (NR). Sam Clausnitzer, senior, Bismarck (North Dakota): Second at the Roy Griak Invitational.

18 (21). Alek Parsons, senior, Ogden (Utah): Won the Bob Firman Invitational.

19 (15). Jaret Carpenter, senior, Wayzata (Minnesota): Won the Willmar Invitational in Minnesota.

20 (NR). Eduardo Herrera, senior, Madera South (California): Won the Nike Portland XC meet at Portland Meadows.

21 (18). Matt Bouthilette, senior, La Salle (Rhode Island): Second to Principe Jr at Bowdoin Park.

22 (19). Peter Ryan, senior, Fayetteville-Manlius (New York): Won at Baldwinville.

23 (20). Conor Lundy, senior, Fordham Prep (New York): First race of the season is at Manhattan.

24 (12). Jack Salisbury, senior, La Salle (Rhode Island): Plans to open up at RI Class meet on Oct. 31.

25 (23). Kenny Vasbinder, senior, East Aurora (New York): Third-fastest at McQuaid Invitational.

26 (22). Nick Dahl, junior, Germantown Friends (Pennsylvania): Running at Manhattan this Saturday.

27 (29). Reed Brown, junior, Southlake Carroll (Texas): Won the Chile Pepper XC Festival title in Arkansas.

28 (30). Irwin Loud, junior, Oak Park-River Forest (Illinois): Won the Pat Savage Invitational; four sub-15 times on 3-mile courses

29 (26). Spencer Dodds, senior, Great Oak (California): Third place at Bob Firman Invitational.

30 (27). Connor Lane, junior, Cardinal Gibbons (North Carolina): Missed chance to run at Great American.
