The outdoor track season is upon us, and with it comes the opportunity to try the steeplechase. The steeplechase is one of the most exciting events in track and field, hurdling barriers and soaring over the water pit.

The New Balance Track and Field Center at The Armory will play host to a special, free steeplechase clinic for students and coaches interested in the event on Wednesday, April 16 and 23. The clinic will be directed by Tommy Nohilly, a former world class steeplechaser. 

Nohilly represented Team USA at the 1997 IAAF World Championships in the 3000m steeplechase, competed at two Olympic Trials, and raced at world-renown meets such as the IAAF World Cross Country Championships, Prefontaine Classic, and Millrose Games.

Both clinic sessions will be an hour and a half, from 4:00pm to 5:30pm. The clinics are free and open to the public.
