She also emphasizes how important her mental health has been throughout her running career in high school and college, and how Marghini continues to focus on patience and perseverance and resilience and always offering gratitude for the opportunities she has been presented with. Marghini speaks about beneficial her time was working in England with a supportive and reaffirming coach in Wayne Vinton with Herne Hill/Belgrave and how she became interested in the prospect of competing at the collegiate level in the United States. She shares the challenges of overcoming injuries and building fitness during her first year at Boise State, and how significant and meaningful the support of her teammates has been in Marghini producing her breakthrough performance at the conference final.
