While many of the top throwers took the weekend off, quite a few still showed up at the Jesse Owens Track Classic hosted by Ohio State University.  The meet produced the best across the board over the weekend.  A.G. Kruger won the men's hammer throw and Marcel Lomnicky (Virginia Tech) was the top collegiate thrower.  On the women's side, Stevi Large won and Kristin Smith (Kentucky) threw a season's best to place as the top collegiate thrower.  Just inches behind Smith was Jeneva McCall (Southern Illinois) and Gwen Berry (Southern Illinois), who recorded the second and third best marks in the nation this weekend.  McCall threw a personal best and Berry was just more than a foot off of her personal best from last weekend.

There were also several good marks out on the west coast.  Trey Henderson (USC) improved his personal best to 67.63m and easily won the USC/UCLA dual meet.  James Rogan (Idaho) won the Oregon Relays with a new personal best of 67.55m over Jordan Stray (Oregon).  

A few conference championships also took place.  Brad Millar (DePaul) and Jere' Summers (Louisville) both won Big East conference titles.  Brittany Horne (Detroit Mercy) won the Horizon League championship on Sunday with a big personal best of 61.30m.
