Angelos Mantzouranis, a freshman at Minnesota representing Greece, won the men's university/college hammer throw with a sixth-round effort of 247-10 (75.55m) at the 114th Drake Relays Presented by Xtream and Powered by Mediacom at Drake Stadium in Des Moines, Iowa. Mantzouranis produced the third consecutive hammer throw title for Minnesota, following fellow Greek athlete Kostas Zaltos the past two years.
