World Champion Josh Kerr, Olympic Medalist Raevyn Rogers Headline 800m Races at the Oregon Relays Presented by AthleticNETPublished by
Ticket packages now available to purchase for the two day event, April 19-20 at Hayward FieldEUGENE, Ore. - Two-time world champion and Olympic bronze medalist Josh Kerr and Olympic bronze medalist and Oregon legend Raevyn Rogers are set to take part in the pro 800m races under the lights of Hayward Field, with Rogers competing on Friday night and Kerr competing on Saturday evening at the Oregon Relays presented by AthleticNET, April 19-20. Kerr will be making his season debut in the 800m event after a celebrated indoor campaign, which saw the Scottish star win 3000m gold at the World Athletics Indoor Championships in Glasgow. Kerr heads to Eugene coming off a gold medal campaign in 2023, where he was victorious in the 1500m at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest. Rogers returns to Hayward Field after finishing second in the 800m at the USATF Outdoor Championships last summer, on her way to placing fourth in the 800m final at the World Athletics Championships. Rogers, who won bronze at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, opened up her outdoor season in late-March, winning the 800m in 2:02.57 at the Stanford Invitational. “We are beyond thrilled to have Josh and Raevyn at the Oregon Relays,” said meet director Ross Krempley. “To have two of the best middle distance athletes in the world showcase their talent in loaded races at the peak of our nightly high school high-performance windows will hopefully create a dream experience for all the athletes and fans.” Kerr will be joined by Brooks Beasts teammates Isaiah Harris, who placed second in the 800m at the 2023 USATF Outdoor Championships and more recently competed for Team USA at the World Indoor Championships, and Brandon Miller, who was a two-time NCAA DI Indoor champion in the 800m while running at Texas A&M University.
Running alongside Rogers in the women’s 800m is Union Athletics Club teammate McKenna Keegan, who ran a 2:00.14 800m personal best in 2023, Brooks Beasts standout Valery Tobias, who placed sixth at both the NCAA DI Indoor and NCAA DI Outdoor Championships in 2023 while running for the University of Texas, former Oregon All-American Brooke Feldmeier, as well as Susan Aneno and Ashley Lewis.
One-day and two-day ticket packages are now available for purchase at the University of Oregon Ticketmaster website.
