With nearly every major college championships taking place over the weekend, there were plenty of improvements.  On the women's side, Sharon Ayala (Fresno State) improved her best to 66.52m and moved into third nationally.  Dorotea Habazin (Virginia Tech) moved up to fourth with a toss of 65.98m.  Eva Orban (USC) continued her consistent season with a win at the Pac 10 Championships and Krishna Lee (Missouri) won the Big 12 title with a new personal best.

The men's race continued to be close over the weekend.  Both Chris Rohr (Missouri) and Marcel Lomnicky (Virginia Tech) threw over 71 meters again.  Walter Henning (LSU) threw just under 70 meters to win the SEC title.  In the meantime, Simon Wardhaugh (Boise State) closed in on 70 meters, and Alex Pessale (Princeton) had another great throw this weekend.
