| What's up Josh? How much longer are you going to be in Iraq? I'm running my second Marathon on the 22nd of March really looking forward to it and I'm using some of that advice you gave me. I've been running quite a bit lately and slowly improving my times. 10 miles is about the average run. I'm staying in the military for a few more years. So if you ever make it to Fort Bragg look me up. Jeremy |

| Hey Josh, thanks for the good advice on running a marathon. I completed my first one Sunday, wow is all I can say. The distance is tough. | |

| How you doing fellow Anaconda? I did not get a chance to run the Army Ten Miler. Eveyone knew that i wanted to run the Ten Miler, but i think they did me wrong. The run was hosted in Victory which was only a chopper or Rhyno away. A nurse from the E.R. ran it and she one in her division. I still haven't ran squat here. Im a bit dissapointed. Last monday i ran a 11:24 on the PT test. There is going to be a mini strong man competition agains't the Australians over here on Nov. first. If im not tied up in a case in the O.R. I will be competing in their 50, 100. relay and 1 mile event they have planned for the evening. Didn't know you were still in Balad? Any races coming up? Do Any other runners show up to run at the track. Have you heard of the running club that the Air force hospital has? I hope you're ready for a big suprise! I can't guarantee the surprise though. Talk to you soon. |

Did you participate in all those "Bagdad" versions of American runs (Boulder Boulder 5K Bagdad, Boston Marathon Bagdad etc.)? I read about these so-caled satellite races in a magazine not long ago. |

I couldn't believe that there were that many people who would want to run a 5k over there. I guess it is something to do since everyone there already knows they can run 3 miles. |

Hey, the weather up here is not so bad. It's been pretty sunny with temperatures in high 40's and mid 50's. Hope this weather report helps. lol If you decide to come to Eugene to run, I think you would have a great time. There are a lot of awesome trails and running into someone famous or someone who is really, really fast is a usual thing. If you are in the states in the summer, you should try to come out here and watch the Olympic trials, it should be a great meet! |
