Caisa-Marie Lindfors, a redshirt junior at Cal Berkeley representing Sweden, won the women's invitational discus throw with a lifetime-best 201-7 (61.44m) performance in the sixth round at the Stanford Invitational at Cobb Track and Angell Field in Palo Alto, Calif. Lindfors set the Golden Bears' program record and elevated to the No. 22 all-time collegiate competitor, in addition to improving to No. 3 in Swedish history. She also produced the best mark by a collegiate athlete in meet history. Along with Florida's Alida Van Daalen and Colorado State's Michaela Hawkins, Lindfors has contributed to collegiate history, with three female athletes surpassing the 200-foot barrier in March for the first time.
