American Fork boys head coach Timo Mostert reflects on the Cavemen rallying to triumph by a 33-39 margin against Herriman High in a showdown of the top two programs in the country in the Class 6A state final at the Utah High School Activities Association Cross Country Championships at the Regional Athletic Complex in Salt Lake City. American Fork repeated as Class 6A champion and secured an 11th boys title in program history, remaining tied with Monticello for the second-highest total all-time in the state, trailing only Mountain View's record 18 championships. Daniel Simmons secured back-to-back individual titles for the Cavemen, covering the 5-kilometer layout in 14:44.0 to lead a sweep of the top three spots with Kaden Evans and Chase Pack. More videos |
