If you use Twitter, you can GoRun feature to do a number of things: 

• Share a post from your running blog
  
• Promote your running event
• Tell the world about your last run
• Share an inspiring story
• Brag about your new personal best

I've fallen in love with Twitter and have found it incredibly useful for meeting and chatting with runners I never would have met otherwise. It's incredibly easy to use, and doesn't require nearly as much from you as a site like Facebook (for example).
