    Who I Am...

    Hey, my name's Travis and I am currently running for the Lane Community College Titans. I have only been running for two years and I hope I don't stop any time soon. I have no idea what I want to do with my life post college, but I still got time to decide. You could say I don't really fit in with my friends since I am more quiet and reserved, and they are the complete opposite, but thats cool cause we get along great...so who cares. There's more I'm leaving out, but if you want to know anything just hit me up.

    Week 1 - goal mileage = 30 - 35 miles

    6/16/08 - I ran the minimum at woahink plus a little extra this morning. I was a little sore, but I didn't feel anything out of the ordinary tiredness that usually comes with the first run after a break. I ran 34:13 altogether. I probably put in about 5 miles. All in all, I feel really good still. I will find out tomorrow though.

    6/17/08 I ran about 33 minutes today out at North Jetty. The run from the jetty out to sutton creek and back is just about 5 miles. I am already feeling better than yesterday. Still, my arms are actually sore along with the rest of my body, but nothing Im not used to.

    6/18/2008 - Today I went for a run out at Siltcoos Lake Trail. I ran one full loop, and then I added on about a third of a loop and then turned back. The whole thing was about 5 miles cause I ran for about 35 minutes this morning. My legs are still sore, but I actually felt really good.

    06/19/2008 - This morning I ran at Holman Vista and ran a Tommy Balcom. We finished the run in 33 minutes. I felt really good today and I picked up the pace on accident towards the end. The course is 5 miles. I am finally getting back to feeling really good.

    06/20/2008 - This morning I ran a big loop at Woahink which took me about 40 minutes. The entire loop is just about 6 miles. I felt really good the whole time. The pace felt fine even though I think it might have been a little fast. My legs are feeling a lot better too.

    06/22/2008 - Today I ran out at siltcoos boat launch. I started out running a sunday run, but then I had to add on to it in order to run long enough. I ran for 54 minutes and put in 8 miles today. My legs are no longer sore which makes me really happy and I am feeling pretty good.

    Total mileage = 34 miles

    Week 2 - goal mileage = 35 - 40 miles

    06/23/2008 - This morning we went running at woahink. We ran a big loop today which is 6 miles and we ran it in 42 minutes. I was feeling really good today, my calf is a little tight but that is nothing new though.

    06/24/2008 - We ran at North Jetty this morning. I ran to Sutton Creek and back which is a 5 mile run and I ran it in 33 minutes. I was feeling good this morning, I was a little tired towards the end and my legs usually do well on the sand but today they were a bit tired.

    06/25/2008 - Today we ran at Tahkenitch and the trail is 6 miles long. We ran the trail in 45 minutes cause of the super hilly awesomeness of the trail. I felt really good. Johnson and I were both rolling the whole time.

    06/26/2008 - This morning we ran out at Holman Vista and we ran a Tommy Balcom which is 5 miles. We finished the trail in 34 minutes and I felt really good. My legs are doing good also.

    06/27/2008 - Today I ran the minimum plus a little extra at Woahink. I ran about 5 miles at a nice easy pace. All together I am feeling really good. 06/28/2008 - Rest day for me today. I helped out at Cape Mountain Trail Run too.

    06/29/2008 - I ran by myself today at Sutton Boat Launch. I did a Sunday with a Turn which equals out to 9 miles and I ran that in 61 minutes. I felt really good the whole, actually I felt a little sluggish at the beginning, but then I started feeling better.

    Total mileage = 36 miles

    Week 3 - goal mileage = 40 - 45 miles

    06/30/2008 - This morning I ran minutes at woahink. The minutes were 3, 3, 3, 3. I felt pretty good during them. I started the first fast 3 a little conservatively, but then I got to it during the last two fast 3's. I made sure to keep my 65% as honest as possible. Still I elt really good. I ran about 7 miles also.

    07/01/2008 - I ran at Tahkenitch this morning. It is a 6 mile trail and I ran it in 42 minutes because it is extremely hilly. I felt pretty good during the run and sped up on accident at the end.

    07/02/2008 - Today we ran at Stagecoach along the beach. I did an up tempo pace in the middle for 12 minutes also. I ran about 7 miles today in all. I am a little sore, but I am feeling good.

    07/03/2008 - This morning I ran at Holman Vista. I ran a Tommy Balcom and added on a little bit. I ran 47 minutes all together. I put in 7 miles also. My calves are a little sore but they are doing okay.

    07/04/2008 - AM - I ran 28 minutes at Woahink doing the minimum which is just around 4 miles. I was a little tired this morning but I finished it fine.

    07/04/2008 - PM - I couldn't run in the afternoon, working and you know about the normal stuff. But I will get on it.

    07/05/2008 - Rest day for me, I am needing it too.

    07/06/2008 - I ran a Sunday Tommy Sunday at Sutton Boat Launch today. I was feeling really good at the beginning, but after about six miles I started getting really tired. I finished the run which is 11 miles and I ran it in 70 minutes. I know I should have slown down cause it was too fast, but I didn't. I need to work on my pace.

    Total mileage = 42 miles

    Week four - goal mileage = 45 - 50

    07/07/2008 - AM - 28 minutes around the minimum at Woahink which is 4 miles. My body is feeling fine but I am finding really hard to run an easy pace, I don't know why I am so tired. I also lifted today

    07/07/2008 - PM - I ran minutes at Woahink and did 4, 4, 4, 4. I was able to do it, but it was still really hard for me and I don't know why. I ran about 7 miles during the workout.

    07/08/2008 - This morning I ran a Tommy Bacom at Holman Vista. It was a lot easier to run today I am feeling a little better. We ran around 5 miles too.

    07/09/2008 - We ran 50 minutes at stagecoach this morning. The wind was blowing against our backs on the beach as we ran out, but on the way back the run was like a workout. I also did my up tempo run for 14 minutes during this run. We ran about 7 miles in all.

    07/10/2008 - AM - I ran and lifted at first and then we went out to North Jetty and ran 5 miles and we went for about 34 minutes. Again today the wind was blowing like crazy but this time it was against us going out and with us going back.

    07/10/2008 - PM - I ran for 21 minutes at woahink and ran for about 3 miles. I am feeling pretty good. My legs are sort of tired though.

    07/11/2008 - Today we ran out at Cape Perpetua and ran for 6 miles. This course has a lot of hills and I still felt really good. I ran it in 48 minutes too.

    07/12/2008 - rest day, I am feeling good too.

    07/13/2008 - Johnson and Jake and I ran out at Sutton Boat Launch. We ran a Sunday Tommy Sunday in about 74 minutes. I was feeling a lot better this week than I did last week. I also put in around 11 miles.

    Total mileage = 48 miles

    Week 5 - goal mileage = 50 - 55

    07/14/2008 - This morning we did minutes at Woahink. I ran 4, 4, 4, 4, 2, 1. I felt pretty good during the minutes. I was able to speed up towards the end of the minutes and still felt good. I put in 10 miles during the run.

    07/15/2008 - AM - I lifted and ran for 15 minutes before lifting and thirteen minutes after lifting, then I went to Holman Vista and ran a Tommy Balcom and added on. I ran for 43 minutes and put in 7 miles also.

    07/15/2008 - PM - I ran an easy 21 minutes at Woahink and put in 3 miles

    07/16/2008 - This morning I ran out at Siltcoos Lake Trails. The hills werent that bad today. I ran 42 minutes all together and put in 6 miles. I also did an up tempo in the middle of the run for 20 minutes and still felt pretty good after it.

    07/17/2008 - AM - I lifted this morning and I also ran for 35 minutes at Woahink. Thats was about 5 miles I put in too. I was feeling really good, my legs are good and im not really that sore at all.

    07/17/2008 - PM - I ran a big loop out at Woahink which is around 6 miles long. I think I ran it in just about 42 minutes. Im still feeling good too.

    07/18/2008 - This morning I ran the minimum again out at Woahink cause I had to work so it was the quickest easiest place to run. I ran for about 41 minutes and put in 6 miles too.

    07/19/2008 - I ran a big loop at Woahink this morning with Joey boy. I ran it in 42 minutes and put in 6 miles all together. I felt really good too. My legs are in good shape also. I am feeling good for steens.

    07/20/2008 - Rest day and travel too Steens!

    Total mileage = 56 miles

    Week 6 - STEENS!

    Week 7 - goal mileage = 45 - 60

    07/28/2008 - I ran at Woahink this morning. I went for a 41 minute run. I was feeling really good. I did feel tired yesterday now that steens is over, but now I am doing really well. I ran about 6 miles.

    07/29/2008 - AM - Minutes at Woahink. I ran 2, 4, 5, 4, 2. I felt pretty good during the minutes, my legs were kind of hurting though. I put in 8 miles also and I ran about 53 minutes. After the run though I felt really tired, more than usual.

    07/29/2008 - PM - I ran 4 miles and put in just about 28 minutes, after that I went and lifted too. I am still more tired than usual, and I know its not my iron levels, I just got a test and my levels are like 70.

    07/30/2008 - Today I ran out at Siltcoos again. I did two laps easy and thats about 6 miles. I ran it in just about 45 minutes too.

    07/31/2008 - I ran at Woahink today for 53 minutes. I did my up tempo run today for 25 minutes in between. It felt really good. I was going pretty fast too. My legs are doing okay. I dont know whats going on, but I am feeling great and I like it. I put in about 8 miles too.

    08/01/2008 - I ran the big loop out at Woahink. I put in 6 miles and ran it in 41 minutes. My legs were a little tired, but I am still feeling good.

    08/02/2008 - AM - I ran for about 43 minutes at Woahink. I did the big loop and put in about 6 miles.

    08/02/2008 - PM - I couldnt lift but I did run out at Siltcoos again and did two laps around the trail. Thats about 6 miles. I feel really good still.

    08/03/2008 - I ran 76 minutes at siltcoos lake trail. I ran about four loops all together. That comes out to about 10 miles. I felt really good actually. My legs are doing good and I am not tired anymore.

    Total mileage = 60 miles

    Week 8 - goal mileage = 55 - 65

    08/04/2008 - AM - I ran at Woahink this morning. I put in an easy 6 miles and ran it in about 40 minutes. It was a little fast, but I am feeling good.

    08/04/2008 - PM - I ran and lifted today. I ran out at Siltcoos and only did one lap this time. I ran about 30 minutes and put in 4 miles also.

    08/05/2008 - I ran for about 57 minutes out at Holman Vista. I put in just around 8 miles. I was feeling really good. Johnson and I picked up the pace a little bit towards the end. I could have gone longer, but I didnt want to push it oranything.

    08/06/2008 - This morning instead of doing minutes I went to Tahkenitch and ran with the guiys. We ran for 43 minutes and put in 6 miles all together. Even with doing all the hills, I am still feeling good. I could have gone and done another six miles there, but I didn't I had to go to work. I did roll my ankle, but nothing seriously bad.

    08/07/2008 - AM - Today I did minutes at the beach on North Jetty. I felt like it took forever. I did 6, 3, 6, 3, 4. I felt really good during the minuites and even kicked it up a bit for the last two sets. My legs are doing awesome still. I put in about 9 miles also.

    08/07/2008 - PM - I ran at Woahink for about 40 minutes and put in about 6 miles. I also went and lifted too.

    08/08/2008 - This morning I ran alone at Siltcoos Lake Trail and I ran two loops easy. I ran them in about 45 minutes. All together I ran about 6 miles I think.

    08/09/2008 - This morning I ran an up tempo at Siltcoos again while Johnson Travis and Mike ran 8 loops. I felt really good, I ran well over two loops in the 30 minute tempo. I ran for 60 minutes and put in just about 9 miles.

    08/10/2008 - I ran a really easy big loop at Woahink today just cause I'm feeling really good and my legs are doing great. I put in 6 miles and ran for 41 minutes.

    Total mileage = 60 miles

    Week 9 - goal mileage = 60 - 70

    08/11/2008 - AM - This morning dune camp started and we ran easy over to the dunes and played some flash ball. I will say I put in about three miles, thats about it.

    08/11/2008 - PM - We ran out at Siltcoos Outlet. I ran for about 78 minutes and I put in about 12 miles. I felt really good. The wind was blowing against me the whole way back, but I managed to get back a little quicker than I went out. We will see how tomorrow treats me.

    08/12/2008 - Today was the Creek Run Race. All together it is about 4 miles, and I am not sure how fast I ran it in, but I won the race so thats cool. I am feeling good even after the run yesterday too.

    08/13/2008 - Today we ran to the dunes at Honeyman and there we played some ultimate frisbee, my team only won one game, and the other two we got our butts kicked. It was fun though. I ran about 3 miles.

    08/14/2008 - We ran at Siltcoos trails this afternoon. It was lord of the loop. We run against each other to see who can run the most loops first. I was in the lead after three, but I really had to go to the bathroom cause I had been holding it since the middle of the first lap, and laps are about two miles long. I still ran about 8 miles though.

    08/15/2008 - Today was just a fun day since it was the last day of dune camp. We ran about 3 miles again today. I am feeling really good.

    08/16/2008 - I had a long run this morning. I ran for about 75 minutes out at Siltcoos. I put in four loops which is about 10 miles. I am still feeling good too, the hills arent that bad.

    08/17/2008 - I get to rest for the day, so not much here.

    Total mileage = 43 miles

    Week 10 - goal mileage = 60 - 70

    08/18/2008 - This morning I had to run for 90 minutes so I went out to Siltcoos and ran 5 laps. I ran for about 13 miles. I felt really good too. I also for a an easy run with the siuslaw team too.

    08/19/2008 - AM - I ran at Woahink this morning and did a big loop. Thats about 6 miles and I ran it in 42 minutes. I felt a little slow, but good the whole way.

    08/19/2008 - PM - I lifted some weights this afternoon and I also went for a 58 minute run out at Sutton boat launch. I ran a Sunday with a turn which is about 9 miles.

    08/20/2008 - Today I ran minutes at Woahink. My minutes were 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. I felt really good during the minutes even though my right leg was a little tight. I did a triple lodge loop which is 10 miles.
