Who I Am...

Name... Ross Dexter La Pine High School Graduate 2001, in the mountains of Central Oregon. Here I won an Oregon State Cross Country Title with the La Pine Hawks in 1998. We were unranked going into the District Championships. On the track, set what at the time was a State Record for the most points scored in the 800m at the State Championships by finishing 8th in 1998, 4th in 1999, 2nd in 2000, and bringing home the title in 2001. Moved on to where the Siskiyous meet the Cascades, Beautiful Ashland Oregon and Southern Oregon University, Graduated 2006 B.S. Health and Physical Education Minor Philosophy. At Southern Oregon I set personal bests of 1:53.1 in the 800m, 3:50.69 in the 1500m and 25:50 in the 8k XC. Currently working toward graduate school and exploring many different health and wellness related fields. Every so often I dream of lowering those P.Rs

2008 800 Meter World Stage.....

After an unbelievable 800 meter final with OTC's Nick Symmonds, UOregon's Andy Wheating, and OTC's Christian Smith taking the top three spots.  The World Stage appears to be an interesting one for American 800 meter runners.

Right now, as of 7.2.08 it appears Symmond's 1:44.01 places him round about the 6th rank.

Abubaker Kaki-1:42.69

Yeimer Lopez-1:43.07

Mbulaeni Muladuzi-1:43.61

David Rudisha-1:43.72

Alfred Kirwa Yego-1:44.01

NICK SYMMONDS-1:44.10

Additionally, Wheating seems to have unlimited potential and energy, and Smith has a PR of 1:44.86.  Could the U.S. be in the medal hunt in the 800?  I can't wait to find out!
